These are some pictures from my trip to Egypt in March of 1995...

        Enjoy -

The Gaza Plateau, the three pyramids and the sphinx - yes, it took two photo's cut together...

The middle pyramid, Chephren, originally covered in alabaster & the sphinx.                             Yes, that's me.

Into the smallest pyramid, Mikerinus, originally covered in granite.

Inside the pyramid, very low ceilings.

Cairo & the Nile River, photo taken from my hotel room.

Children weaving carpets... Hmmmm.

A fallen statue of Ramses II at Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt.  It's 65 feet tall.

Roman ruins at Saqqarah near Memphis.

The step pyramid at Saqqarah.  One of the original pyramids.

Over 7,000 years old.  Built by the pharoh Zosar.

A sarcophagus in the shadow of the step pyramid.                               This statue is believed to be that of the pharoh Zosar.

An underground temple at Saqqarah.  Not open to the public.

Vibrant colors, incredible detail.

These carved images are life sized!

Of course, King Tut, face mask, solid gold.

King Tut's sarcophagus, also solid gold.
